Monday April 21st, 2008- Nothing really exciting happened today. We did some chores and went to the YMCA to work out for family home evening. It was really nice to be able to work out together again.

Sunday April 20th, 2008- Bryan and I both woke up pretty stiff. I guess we can’t complain though. In our home we say that if you are sore or hurting from playing to hard you have no room to complain. (Basically we do not want to hear it.) Both of us tried not to whine too much. We had planned on walking to church today but it was windy and cloudy and the forecast suggested it was going to rain. We enjoyed our church meetings. We got an afternoon nap in while David was taking his nap. When he woke up Bryan made us corn dogs, French fries and tatter tots dinner. The meal was not very nutritious but, was very great because I did not have to cook. We had fun playing with David and cherishing the moments we have with our little baby. He is such a joy. He is such a sweet baby and we love him to death. As Amanda says, “Prince David” rules the roost in our home. We would not have it any other way.

Saturday April 19th, 2008- It is the first Saturday since tax season has been over and we lived it up. We really enjoyed being able to sleep in together. We got up around 8:00am and finished getting our lunch made and cooler loaded. We got the motor bikes put in the trailer and the toys we needed to keep David entertained. We had a nice leisurely breakfast and headed out to Hemingway butte around 10:30am. Dave and Crystal Hessing invited us out to Hemingway butte as a family. Some of the families from their ward set up the day of motorcycle riding and so they invited us. Dave and Crystal brought their in closed trailer so we were able to keep the kids out of the wind for the most part. The kids played with the toys we brought and were really good despite missing their afternoon naps. Bryan & I went for a short ride while Crystal and Dave watched David and then they went ridding for a little while, while we watched their two girls Cascade and McKinley. It was great. We had BBQ hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch along with some trail mix, strawberries, cookies, oranges, apples and some soda pop. After lunch Bryan and Dave went with some of the guys on a long ride while Crystal and I watched the kids. When they got back Crystal and I went out ridding with some other ladies. It was Crystals first time ridding a motor bike and she did very well. Right before we lift I decided I needed to do some hill climbing. I did pretty good but had one large fall at the top of the hill. To say the least I went over the top of my handle bars but popped right back up. I was greatful for ridding gear and a helmet. You know what they say, if you don’t fall at least once you are not ridding hard enough. I guess I did do some hard ridding. We left Hemingway Butte around 5:00pm. We played hard and had a wonderful time. David slept the whole way home. It was a fun filled day. When we got home we put a pizza in the oven took a shower and relaxed the rest of the evening. I did end up with some very nice bruises on my ankle, thigh, quad, and shoulder from my wreck but no permanent damage.

This is what our awesome set-up looked like in the Hessing's enclosed trailer. It was a great set up and worked well.

Friday April 18th, 2008- David and I spent the day getting laundry done and getting things ready to go motorcycle riding tomorrow as a family. We went and got some groceries for our lunch and some great snacks. When Bryan got home we headed into Boise. We were invited to Ben Hochhater’s 30th birthday party. Heather Hochhalter set up the party and it was a lot of fun. They had a nacho bar and fajitas for dinner along with cake and ice cream. We played some fun games and Guitar hero. If we had a ps2 I think we would play the Guitar hero game a lot. Around 8:00pm we tried putting David to bed at the Hochhalter’s but there was too much noise. We ended up leaving around 10:00pm and David was a great little boy considering it was way past his bed time.

Thursday April 17th, 2008- Bryan was supposed to work half a day today. He went in to work and his boss said, go home and enjoy the full day with your family. 8:45 am we had the great surprise of Bryan walking in the door. David and I were so excited to have Daddy home. We spent the morning being entertained by David. He is such a cute little boy. I think we both could spend days just watching him (that is when he is happy, which is most of the time). The shed guy still has not finished painting or priming our shed & is not answering our phone calls. I decided to call him and leave him a message letting him know we would do it our selves. The last time he was here he left the primer and the paint in our shed. We have all the stuff we need to do it. Bryan and I spent some time priming the shed. We also got our automatic sprinklers figured out. The sprinklers the shed guy moved were leaking so we had to make a trip to Home Depot. Bryan spent the rest of the day digging up and fixing the sprinklers that were done incorrectly. I guess I am glad that I have a husband who can fix things. I am also really glad to have tax season over so he has time to fix things and spend more time working as a family. Now he will get some of the “Honey Do" on our list done.” We had David Sherman and his two boys over for diner. Emily stayed home with her daughter who was sick. David Sherman also came and fixed the wall that I broke with the turkey a few months back. He put some new dry wall on to fill in the damage. Later on we will sand it down and paint over it.

Wednesday April 16th, 2008- Bryan and I got up around 6:00am. We loaded the motor bikes into the truck and trailer and headed to CJ and Tami’s house. We woke up David right before we left and he was a happy boy on the drive in. When we got to Tami’s I fed David while Bryan loaded up their four-wheeler and CJ’s motor bike. Scott, Mark, CJ, Bryan and I went out to Hemingway Butte in the Owyhee Mountains and enjoyed a day of motor cycling. Tami, and Amanda took turns watching David for the day. Tami watched him the first part of the day and Amanda watched him the second part of the day. They even brought David and their younger children out to meet us for lunch. I was able to feed David and then enjoy the rest of the day ridding with Bryan. When we got back Amanda and Tami had a great BBQ dinner ready to eat. I sure appreciate my sweet sisters who were willing to watch David while I spent time with my spouse. Thanks Sooooo much Tami and Amanda!!!! You are the best!!!!!

Funny story- When we got to Hemingway Butte we all got geared up and CJ realized he had forgotten his ridding boots. He had warn sandals and new he could not ride in sandals. The only shoes he could fit into were Bryan's tennis shoes. CJ wears size 10 and Bryan wears size 15. To say the least CJ looked like a clown. He made the best out of a bad situation. He laced Bryan's shoes up real tight and rode the first half of the day in shoes that were 5 sizes to big. When Tami, Amanda and the younger children came out at lunch they brought CJ's ridding boots.

Tuesday April 15th, 2008- Today is the last day of tax season. Yippeeeeeeee!!!!! While David was napping I decided to straighten my hair and get ready for Bryan’s end of Tax Season work party. I spent about an hour getting ready. The End of Tax season party was held at a fancy restaurant in down town Boise called (I forgot?). Mom Sorenson was sweet and watched David while we were at the party. She had David for about 4 hours and had to put him to bed. She said he was a great little boy and went to bed very well. Bryan and I ate a lot at the party and enjoyed being able to just sit back and relax.

April 8th- 14th, 2008

Monday April 14th, 2008- Tax season is almost over and we are all so excited!! David and I went to the gym for about 40 min. We walked the track. We also did some organizing at home. We decided since the shed guy may never get over here to finish painting the shed that we were going to use it any way. I cleaned some things out of the garage and put them in the shed. I moved the games to our china cabinet, and moved most of the food storage into the cabinet the games where in. I also got all our motorcycle gear together and ready for our day of ridding this next Wednesday. Last Bryan and I for FHE set up the shelf and granite slaps that we got from Scott and Amanda’s house. I think they will work great as tool benches. One is in our garage. The other is in the shed.

Sunday April 13th, 2008- It is Sunday again. Yippee. Bryan, David and I walked to church today. The weather was sunny and bright. There was a little wind but it felt good. After church we came home and relaxed. I made a dinner and took it into the Hilton’s. Ashley Hilton works with me in YW. He mother has cancer and is going to dye. Her family had gotten back really late and they were feeling under the weather. I took out lasagna I had frozen cooked it and made some bread. Bryan and I went into Boise. Previously in the week I had been asked to barrow Von’s battery charger. I forgot to it. So we went in and visited Von & Sheri for dinner and picked up the battery charger from them. We also stopped and visited the Hobson’s on the way home. There little baby Jody who is 3 weeks old it so small and cute. I can’t believe David was once as small as she is.

Saturday April 12th, 2008- David and I went into Boise to watch Isaac, Micah and Kyle wrestle at Capital High school. We watched from 10-12pm.We only got to see Isaac wrestle. He did great! Then we went over Bryan’s parents and had lunch. Von and Sheri love having David around. Von even fed David some cereal for lunch. The shed guy finally showed up today. He showed up stayed for about 5 min and left. When I called him asked what was going on he said his paint sprayer was not working right and that he would try to fix it and come back. He never came back. I got home from Boise around 2:00pm. I put David down for a nap and made some pizza dough. I went and picked up Emily and Amelia Corder to baby sit. I had organized a family golf night with Dad and Mom Stevens, Scott & Amanda, Tami& CJ, Janette & Mark, and Bryan & I. We met at my house around 5:45. We left David, Gideon, Mary and Kadie with the baby sitters while we went golfing at Fairview golf course here in Caldwell. Bryan and I ended up coming back a little early from the golf course to get the pizza’s in and to take the baby sitters home. It was a fun night, and the baby sitters did a good job. When every one else got back from the golf course we ate the home made pizza, green salad and fruit I had made. I use mom Sorenson’s (Sheri’s) pizza recipe.

These next few pictures are of some of the new things David has started doing this week.

We always lay David on his back when we put him to be at night or for a nap. This week when we come back in David is on his tummy. I caught him kind of in the act of changing positions here. I have to go back in to check on him because he kicks the blankets off.

David has started to pick up cherio's with his thumb and forefinger. He is able to get the cheerio in is mouth most of the time. When he does he is so proud of himself.

One morning this week I set him on the floor for a while to play. When I came back in he was fascinated with his shadow. He play for a long time with his shadow. He thought it was the coolest thing.

David has started drinking by himself out of a sippy cup .

I finally tried my baby grinder. We ground up our own corn. David tried the corn but is not convinced that it is very good yet.

David has decided this week that he loves to play in the un- matched sox and laundry.

Friday April 11th, 2008- Today David and I went into Boise for the afternoon. We met Tami, Amanda, and Janette at the YMCA tennis courts and played tennis. Liz (Amanda’s mom) also came and played for a little while. Amanda also had some friends come and play for a little while. When Bryan got home today we went for a walk again tonight. We also tried to start our sprinkler system to no avail. We found out the canal water will not be started in our sub-division until April 15th. Around 7:30pm Bryan went with David Sherman over to Troy Jenson’s house to watch “I am Legend.” Troy has a large surround sound system with a large wall size TV. Emily Sherman came to my house and we watched a chick flick. I do not remember what we watched. We had fun eating popcorn and candy. Linda Sue was also suppose to come to my house but had a migraine so she stayed home.

Thursday April 10th, 2008- David and I spent the morning at the grocery store. We spent the rest of the day playing while I tried to get cinnamon rolls made. We went and dropped the cinnamon rolls off at Bryan’s work and then went and returned our library books to the library. When Bryan got home around 6:30 pm we went for a walk. We put David in the baby backpack and enjoyed the great weather. The shed guy did not show up again.

Wednesday April 9th, 2008- I spent the morning cleaning the house. David took a good two hour morning nap, so I got a lot done. I sweep and mopped the kitchen, cleaned all three bathrooms, and got some laundry done. Bryan came home for a short lunch around 12:30pm. I had him wake up David. David and I went to a YW presidency meeting at 1:00pm. I brought dinner into Mandy Hennis (I am her visiting teacher). Her family has been sick. Bryan and I enjoyed watching American Idol together. There was no YW or YM because of the youth temple trip this coming Friday. When Bryan got home around 6:15 we all went for a family walk. It was great. David loves being out side.

Tuesday April 8th, 2008- David and I went into Boise today. We played some racquetball with Mandy. Mandy and I had fun playing until the Nursery person came and got us. Both David and Gideon were awake and whining When I got home the guy who is suppose to paint our shed still was not their. He did not show up for his appointment again. Oh well I kind of have lost hope with the shed being painted anytime soon. Our ward did a treat and trade tonight. Every one brings their items they do not want or use any more. Then every one just takes what they can use. At the end what was not taken is sent to Dessert Industries. And there is also some desserts that are brought that you can eat while you are there. Bryan stayed at home with David and I went. I found some new pants, some shirts, two pairs of shoes for David a toy and some dish cloths. It was great. I enjoyed being able to go.
